THOUSANDS of runners of all ages turned out for Run Bournemouth at the weekend.
Runners took to the streets and the picturesque coastline to take part in the iconic running festival.
Saturday saw junior races during the day with a Supernova 5k held at dusk with runners dressing in their brightest gear to light up the night.
Sunday’s 10k and half marathon both started at Hengistbury Head and ended by the observation wheel at Bournemouth’s Pier Approach.

The weather held up nicely as thousands of people turned out to support everyone who participated in the huge challenge.
Tom Merson of Exmouth Harriers AAC finished first in the Supersonic 10K with a time of 0:31:32.

Half marathon runner Jaymee Domoney, 23 of City of Salisbury AC & RC was breaking the tape to take victory in a time of 1:08:00.
He was followed by Alex Miell-Ingram, 24 of Radley AC (1:10:25) and Thomas Corbin, 27 (1:13:12) who took second and third.

Jaymee said: “The route was really good and so was the weather. I felt like the wind was behind us more than it was against us.
"I usually run middle distance on the track so stepping up to the half marathon was definitely a shock to the system in the last few miles.
"The crowds were great, it was brilliant to see them all around the course - from mile one to mile 13. I’ve just moved to Bournemouth so I hope to be back next year.”
