The moon put on a spectacular show to the delight of sky gazers on Sunday evening.
October’s full moon, the Hunter’s Moon, reached its peak at 9.54pm.
Members of our Dorset Camera Club captured images of the spectacle.
The Hunter’s Moon gets its name as it marked the time to go hunting in preparation for the winter.
It can also be known as the Sanguine or Blood Moon.
According to the Almanac website, the earliest use of the term Hunter’s Moon is believed to date back to 1710.
The next full moon to occur will be the Beaver Moon which is due to peak on November 8.
The Dorset Camera Club is open to all those with a love of photography and sharing images.
It is free to join and has more than 5,600 members.
Members can also enter monthly competitions for the chance to win £50 in vouchers from Castle Cameras.
