AN Indian restaurant in Bournemouth is celebrating after receiving a special award that "means the world".
On Monday, October 10, Anwar Hussain, owner of Westbourne Tandoori and his team travelled to London for the CurryLife awards 2022.
The team were thrilled when they were presented with the CurryLife editor's choice award.
A total of 14 people from Westbourne Tandoori attended the "sublime" night.
The awards reward and recognise the individuals who represent the very best of the British curry industry and have shown innovation and inspiration in their work.
Anwar said: "This award means the world to me and the team, the past year has seen the redevelopment of the restaurant, the introduction of dynamic new free entertainment and free children's meals through the summer holidays.
"The night itself was sublime. The great room at the Grosvenor Hotel in Park Lane is a legendary venue.
"CurryLife put on a black tie extravaganza and the Westbourne Tandoori party of 14 were so proud to be recognised at the highest level by the industry.
"Westbourne Tandoori won the award because of our dedication and re-investment into the business over the past challenging year.
"It also is in recognition of the hard work the whole team puts into the satisfaction of our customers."
Anwar has great hopes for the restaurant and brand.
He has ideas for expansion and taking his entertainment, which is already of a London standard, to an even higher level.
