A post office in Dorset has relocated in order to safeguard the future of the service.
Swanage Post Office has opened at 25 Institute Road after the postmaster's previous lease was expiring with the premises no longer available for Post Office use.
Postmaster Liam Searle identified an opportunity to move this branch into a more centrally located premises in the town centre.
The empty premises underwent a refurbishment to incorporate Swanage Post Office and a Stationery and Gifts store.
After the closure of Lloyds Bank last month there are now no banks in Swanage leaving Swanage and Nationwide Building Society as the only financial businesses left in the town.
Customers visiting Swanage Post Office can do personal and business banking on behalf of all the high street banks. People can deposit cheques and cash and also withdraw cash.
The opening hours are Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 1pm.
