A CHEMICAL spill occurred at Royal Bournemouth Hospital on Tuesday evening, October 11.
Four fire crews attended the incident which was reported to the fire service shortly before 9pm.
An area was cordoned off while the incident was dealt with.
Fire crews remained on the scene for around two hours.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8.55pm yesterday evening, crews from Springbourne, Christchurch, Redhill Park and Poole were called to an incident at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site, involving a chemical spill.
“The spill was contained using a chemical spill kit whilst the affected area was cordoned off and handed over to hospital staff to dispose of using normal hospital procedures.
“Our stop came at 10.49pm.”
