A MANUFACTURER from Poole is coming back from California with a global award.
Actisense was named Manufacturer of the Year at the 2022 NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) Conference and Expo.
The week-long event was held at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim, California, and ended with the NMEA Product of Excellence Awards.
The business, based on Nuffield Industrial Estate, is a previous winner of the Product of Excellence Award, and has more than 25 years’ experience in making connectivity and data management products for the marine industry.
Its most recent innovations include Actisense-i, a live diagnostics tool with network and voltage checker.
Andy Campbell, the company’s chief engineer, who collected the award, said: “This award is a wonderful recognition of the hard work done by our whole team. This year has presented challenges to us along with the rest of the industry, notably with supply chains being stretched more than ever before.
"But our team have shown fantastic spirit and resilience in facing these challenges, and we are immensely honoured to receive this award, especially as they’re voted for by our industry peers in the NMEA membership.”
