I HAVE to say the inclusion of palm trees as an entrance to Bournemouth beach do give the resort a unique and cosmopolitan feel so it’s a shame that eight of them have been removed.
Maybe the council wouldn’t want to be liable for damage caused to surrounding businesses if they fell but they were a very attractive addition to the seafront and it’s odd the council don’t know their new location.
Let’s have them replaced with something else similarly lush and tropical looking to welcome visitors onto what is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches and coastlines in the UK.
