A MAJOR road in Poole is set to close for three days next week as part of roadworks.
Dorset Way, the A3049 from Mannings Heath Roundabout through to the junction at Upton Country Park on the A350, will be closed in parts for three nights from Tuesday, October 18.
The A3049 will be closed southbound from Mannings Heath Roundabout to Tower Park Roundabout on Tuesday, October 18 at 8.30pm until 3am the next day. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
On Wednesday, October 19 from 8.30pm to 3am the following day, Dorset Way from Tower Park Roundabout to Holes Bay Roundabout will be closed eastbound.
On Thursday, October 20, from 8.30pm to 3am the next day, the same section of road will be closed westbound to Upton Gateway Roundabout for roadworks. Emergency access will be maintained at all times for both.
Diversion routes will be in place, including Canford Heath Road to Waterloo Road and Upton Road and another one through Old Wareham Road.
Work will include carriageway inspections, grass cutting, gutter clearing and litter picking.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: "Works will be taking place at night to minimise disruption and signed diversion routes will be in place.
"We would advise people to please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys during these essential nigh time maintenance works."
