COASTGUARDS have helped a woman in difficulty in Bournemouth.
Rescue teams from Southbourne and Poole were called to help a woman in the water near Bournemouth Pier on Thursday evening.
Police were also called to attend the incident.
Following a search, the casualty was located, and appropriate care was provided.
In a Facebook post, Southbourne Coastguards said: “[We were] tasked at 7.42pm by the joint coordination centre to reports of a female possibly in difficulties near Bournemouth Pier.
"Once on scene Southbourne Mobile 1 entered at Bournemouth Pier and Southbourne Mobile 2 entered the seafront at Boscombe pier for a hasty Search towards Bournemouth.
"Once the casualty was located we provided casualty care. We also requested police assistance to resolve the incident.
"Once the casualty was safe and no further persons in difficulties we stood down and retuned to station."
