BH2 has released an update after the leisure centre was forced to close this morning after a fire in Nando’s.
The leisure centre, with restaurants, bars, the Odeon cinema and indoor mini golf, has been forced to close after the fire started in the restaurant switchboard.
A spokesperson for BH2 told the Daily Echo there had been a technical issue with the electricity at Nando's, which had set off the fire alarm.
As a result of the fire in the switchboard, the electricity has had to be turned off.
The alarm prompted the water sprinklers it is believed.
The spokesperson was unable to say how long the rest of the venues will be closed for, only saying they will be shut until further notice.
The following venues are now open:
- The Real Greek
- Five Guys
- Slim Chickens
- Brewdog
The rest remain closed, including:
- The Odeon Cinema
- Yogoo
- Miller & Carter Steakhouse
- Pizza Express
- Mulligans
- TGI Fridays
- Ask Italian
- Nando’s
- Prezzo
