PARKING charges are not attractive to visitors.
While the council want to bring in as much cash as possible, the cost of parking in Bournemouth is too expensive.
Holiday-makers may well take the hit as part of their vacation spend but out of season it is off-putting to those going to the cinema or a show at the Pavillion.
If you want to draw more people in to a town centre – which has seen a decline in the last year with loss of key department stores and run down Westover Road – you need to make it attractive to do so and some more inspired thinking is called for at the town hall.
