If you were an Oasis fan in the 90s and 00s, you would have been very excited to learn they were playing in Dorset.
In 1995, Oasis and arch rivals Blur both had local shows booked – at the BIC and Showbar respectively – mirroring their contest for the number one singles slot as Oasis' Roll With It lost out to Blur’s Country House.
In the end, Oasis postponed their date to October that year, and locals were desperate to get tickets with many camping out overnight to be the first to get their tickets.

Oasis also played at the Lighthouse in 2004, producing a record sell-out for the Poole venue.
The audience included a host of famous faces including Ringo Starr, who was there to watch son Zak Starkey on drums, Jude Law, Sienna Miller and Paul Weller.
When they returned to play the BIC in 2008, there was such excitement also with fans camped outside the venue to get their hands on prized tickets.
To bring back some of those happy memories, we've unearthed pictures from our archive of the band's shows in Dorset.
