POLICE are continuing to make enquiries into a large fire that destroyed two sheds and damaged another in a residential road in Poole last week.
The fire in Churchfield Road was reported to the fire service at around 7pm on Wednesday, October 12.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received “multiple” calls reporting the incident.
As previously reported by the Daily Echo, residents described the fire as “fierce” and stood in the street to watch the drama as it unfolded.
Fire damage to the exteriors of several houses and adjacent fencing also occurred.
Three fire crews from Poole attended along with a crew from Westbourne.
Providing an update, a Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 8.19pm on Wednesday 12 October 2022 from the fire service making us aware of a fire involving a shed in Churchfield Road in Poole.
“It was subsequently reported that the fire had been extinguished.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.”
The fire service said the fire investigator had been unable to determine the cause of the fire “due to the amount of damage”.
