THE number of people in Dorset hospitals with Covid has increased, the public health authority has said.
Latest figures released by Public Health Dorset on October 17, show 138 patients were in hospital with Covid.
A Public Health Dorset spokesperson said: “The number of people in hospitals in Dorset with COVID-19 has increased since our last update to 138, although this is slightly down on a peak of 159 on 7 October.
“We know some of these patients are likely to be in hospital primarily for another reason. Deaths related to COVID-19 remain at a low level locally.”

Public Health Dorset said ONS data published on October 14, showed 2.4 per cent of people in the BCP Council area had tested positive for Covid with 2.6 per cent in Dorset, compared to 1.4 per cent and 1.3 per cent respectively last month.
