A MAN arrested on suspicion of rape has been bailed.
Dorset Police launched an investigation after receiving a report that a woman had been raped in Christchurch by a man, who she had met earlier that evening, in the early hours of the morning.
Officers cordoned off the subway which links the town centre and Bargates throughout Friday, October 21.
The following day the force said a 46-year-old man from Christchurch had been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Providing an update on Monday, October 24, a police spokeswoman said the arrested man had been released on bail pending further enquiries.
