A woman from Dorset has been handed a hefty court bill after assaulting another woman and damaging a garden gnome.
Rochelle Thompson, whose address was given as Longhorn Hill, Charminster, appeared before Poole Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 24 for sentencing.
Thompson, 35, had pleaded guilty to one charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and had been found guilty of a separate charge of assault by beating.
The assault charge relates to an incident on September 11, 2021 when Thompson assaulted her victim at an address in North Park, Frampton.
On the same date, and at the same address, Thompson also damaged a garden gnome belonging to the victim.
Thompson was given a community order and instructed to carry out 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
She must also pay a £120 fine, £110 in compensation, a £95 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £620.
