A FINE art gallery will open its doors in the heart of Ringwood this week in a move operators hope will diversify the town’s offerings.
As part of several new outlets nationwide, Clarendon Fine Art will open a gallery in The Furlong Shopping Centre on Friday, October 28, in a first for the area.
The gallery will open in the unit between Whistles and Paperchase - previously occupied by the popular Toys of Ringwood store which closed in March following the retirement of its owners.
Specialising in original works, limited editions and sculptures from emerging and established contemporary artists, the boutique gallery will also house a collection of rare, signed editions from 20th century masters including Picasso, Hockney and Warhol.
According to The Furlong, Clarendon’s services are designed to make “art acquisition an uplifting and refreshing experience accessible to all”.
A spokesperson for the Furlong centre said: “We are delighted that Clarendon Fine Art have chosen The Furlong in Ringwood as the location for their latest contemporary art gallery.
“The town is rich in heritage and an art gallery both underpins the quality of our offer and will be a welcome addition to our diverse occupier mix.”
In March, Clarendon opened a gallery in Lymington High Street.
