MOTORISTS will face four months of disruption when major roadworks take place in the Wick Lane area.
Gas main replacement works will be carried out by SGN from Monday, October 31.
The work will take place across a number of phases.
Drivers have been warned delays are likely during the work which is due to finish on February 27, 2023.
Wick Lane will be closed from its junction with Tuckton Roundabout to the junction of Riversdale and associated junctions from October 31 to December 9.
During the same period, Magnolia Close and Wickmeads will be closed for the entire length.
Then between November 28 and January 27, Wick Lane will be closed from the junction of Riversdale Road to the junction of Hengist Park and associated junctions.
The entire length of Wick Green and Wicklea Road will also be closed.
Brightlands Avenue will be shut at its junction with Broadway between January 23 and February 3, with Broadlands Avenue closed at its junction with Broadway from January 30 to February 10.
Between February 13 and 27, there will be a closure from the entire length of 128 Thornbury Road to Branders Close.
Full access will be maintained for emergency services.
As reported earlier this week, CityFibre has been carrying out three days of work in the Tuckton Roundabout area this week.
One business in Tuckton Road said it had been subjected to noise and queues outside the store for two weeks and described the work as "unbearable".
A spokesperson for CityFibre said: "In Tuckton Road, we’re installing state of the art infrastructure which will benefit dozens of homes and businesses in the area.
"This is a major undertaking, which is why we are working closely with our build partner, local authorities and the council’s highways team to ensure all works are delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible.”
