A TINY plot of land is on the market for £25,000 in Bournemouth.

The piece of land is approximately 6.3m x 6.3m and has a small detached building with development potential, running water and a toilet.

Town and Country Property Auctions are selling the land by public auction, with un-submitted plans available to build a two storey one bedroom house.

Bournemouth Echo:

A spokesperson from Town and Country said: “The owners asked us to sell it at auction, ultimately if the seller has got an amount of money that they want to try and sell it for we'll set a reserve with them and see if it achieves that or better.

“It's got a building on it, if somebody wants to use it for storage, they could do that. If somebody wanted to knock it down and park a couple of vehicles on it, they could do that.

“It hasn’t got residential use at the moment, so that'd be a matter for the planners, not for us. “We sold something similar in the centre of Bournemouth, somebody had been using it as a building store and I thought it wasn't going to go for much more than 20,0000 then on the day it was bought for 32,000.

Bournemouth Echo:

“We get the occasional odd bits and plots and it's totally down to whoever views it as to what their use is for it or what they think they can do. The guy who bought it originally, he bought it at auction, not through us and was looking to try and get a little two bedroom unit on it, which the planners knocked back because of how much ground it took over.

“So he's looking to sell it on again. I wouldn't say to anybody, ‘yes, you can get planning on it’, or ‘no, you can't’. That decision is out of our hands. It's purely a little plot of land with a building on it, its beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

“A lot of people have registered against it. Sometimes you get these bits of land which are completely landlocked and you think, well, that's never going to sell.

Bournemouth Echo:

“And then somebody pops their head up and buys it. So, it's just a matter of throwing it out there and seeing what happens on the day of the auction.”

The property will be entered into Town and Country Property Auctions October 31 auction which is held online and starts at 10am. You must register to bid and download the legal pack.
