RAIL passengers will face more disruption when three more days of strike action take place next month.
South Western Railway said a “severely reduced service” will run on November 5, 7 and 9 – with no services operating in Dorset.
Any passengers in Dorset wishing to travel to London Waterloo, will need to catch a train from Southampton with two fast trains operating per hour each way.
The first train from Southampton to Waterloo will run at 7.30am with the last train departing at 4.59pm.
Trains from Waterloo will run from 7.30am with the last service leaving at 5pm.
South Western Railway said due to the impact of the strike days, customers are also urged only to travel if absolutely necessary on November 6, 8 and 10, when first trains will start much later than usual across the network and are likely to be very busy.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) are taking industrial action again as part of a long running dispute over jobs, pay and conditions.
In separate disputes, RMT members on London Overground and London Underground, will also take part in industrial action on Thursday 10 November, meaning that some connections with South Western Railway services may be disrupted or not run at all.
South Western Railway’s performance and planning director, Steve Tyler, said: “We appreciate that customers will be eager to enjoy the fireworks for Guy Fawkes Night, but last trains for the day will depart early at around 1700 and will be very busy. Please check train times carefully to avoid getting stranded as the network will be shut for the rest of the evening.
“We are grateful to our customers for their continued cooperation, patience, and understanding as the rail industry works to bring this damaging nationwide strike action to an end.”
