Part of the A35 is shut this morning due to a crash.

Emergency services have been called to the Puddletown bypass.

A crash, which police have described as serious, has taken place on the westbound carriageway heading towards Dorchester. 

Road closures are in place and drivers are being urged to avoid the area. 

A police spokesman said: "Officers are just arriving at scene at an serious RTC on the A35, Puddletown Bypass.

"Road closures are being put in place. Please find alternative routes."
