A CAMPSITE in Dorset has been awarded the south west ‘campsite of the year’ for 2022.
Wareham Forest Tourist Park, in Wareham, won AA Campsite of the Year for the south west of England.
Inspectors said the campsite, which is rated five stars and in in North Trigon, said its location and high standards made Wareham Forest Tourist Park “one of the leading parks in the country”.
The inspectors added: “A woodland park within the tranquil Wareham Forest, with its many walks and proximity to Poole, Dorchester and the Purbeck coast.
“Two luxury blocks, with combined washbasin and toilets for total privacy, are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
“A heated outdoor swimming pool, off licence, shop and games room add to the enjoyment of a stay on this top quality park. There is a bike wash and a separate dog wash with hot water.
“Year-on-year investment ensures optimum privacy within touring areas coupled with excellent security, which includes barriers and CCTV.
“Its location and high standards make this one of the leading parks in the country.”
