BOURNEMOUTH experienced temperatures of 18 degrees this afternoon amid one of the warmest November’s on record.
At 11am on Sunday, November 11, a temperature reading of 18 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bournemouth Airport.
Some areas in the UK, including Wales, recorded their warmest ever Remembrance Sunday today.
The Met Office predicts temperatures of around 14 degrees Celsius in the Bournemouth area from midnight tonight, lasting until around 3pm on Monday afternoon.
Average UK night-time temperatures at this time of year range between 4-6C.
Prof Liz Bentley, chief executive of the Royal Meteorological Society, said the unusually high temperatures are a result of natural weather phenomena exacerbated by the effects of climate change.
