THE MAIN entrance to Sainsbury’s in the Boscombe precinct was closed today following a break-in.
Police said a window was smashed and bottles of alcohol were taken during the incident.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 12.37am today of a break-in at Sainsbury’s in Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.
“It was reported that a window had been smashed and bottles of alcohol had been stolen.
“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area but the offenders were not located.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “Police were called to our Boscombe Superstore in the early hours of this morning and we’re supporting with their investigation. The store is open as usual.”
