A MAN has been sentenced by the courts after being convicted of performing a lewd act on himself on a bus.
David Shaw, aged 88, was alleged to have committed an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner on a Morebus M1 service in Bournemouth on September 7, 2021.
Shaw, whose address was given as Luckham Close, Bournemouth, pleaded not guilty to the single charge.
He was found guilty following a trial at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, November 11.
The bench issued Shaw with a 12-month conditional discharge along with orders to pay a £22 surcharge and £620 costs.
