A MAN has been charged in relation to a crash in which a young mum died in Poole last year.
On Sunday, December 12, at 9.47pm, Dorset Police received a report of a crash involving a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian on the A3049 between the Mannings Heath Roundabout and the Alderney Roundabout.
It was reported that the occupants of the Fiesta left the area, leaving the damaged vehicle at the scene.
Courtney White, 23, was walking home on the footpath next to the Canford Way in Poole when she was struck by a car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following a detailed investigation by the traffic unit, and liaison with the Crown Prosecution Service, a 20-year-old man from Poole has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday, December 16.
A 19-year-old man from Poole who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released from the investigation and will face no further police action.
Courtney’s sister Alice White paid tribute to her sister in December last year, telling the Echo: “Courtney’s vibrant, maternal, warm character would be a constant source of love and comfort for our family.
“She was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter but innately Courtney was a mother. She was instinctively maternal, authentic and thoughtful. She made our family whole, she made us our best selves.”
Ms White had a three-year-old daughter, Evie, and seven siblings.
Courtney’s funeral in February saw friends and family fill St Clement’s Church in Parkstone. After the service, mourners gather on the Canford Way, which was closed by police, to allow loved ones to pay their respects.
Paying tribute to her daughter, Courtney's mum Jasmine Moores told the Echo: “Courtney was a character full of life and an amazing mum to Evie we are totally heartbroken.”
She added: “Every day is a living nightmare for us and every night Evie looks at the brightest star in the sky – mummy star.”
