WOMEN’S retailer Ann Summers has relocated to a new store in Bournemouth town centre – three units away from its previous home.
The high street lingerie brand recently closed its large store in Commercial Road following the end of its lease and have downsized to a new unit just a stone’s throw away.
A smaller Ann Summers is now open at the former Holland and Barrett shop in Commercial Road, located between the old H&M store and Café Nero.
Workmen have been seen in the recently closed site stripping the interior bare.
Last year, it was reported that the “large multiple windowed” site, next to JD Sports, was available on Rightmove on a new ten-year lease with a rateable value of £99,000.
Following the closure and subsequent move, an Ann Summers spokesperson told the Echo: “We’re excited to have opened a brand-new store in Bournemouth.
“Our previous store closed as part of a natural break in the lease, and we are delighted to have found another brilliant location just a few doors down.
“Bournemouth is a great shopping destination and we’re really pleased to be welcoming customers to our awesome new-look store.”
Unlike its predecessor, which had a distinctive pink frontage and logo, the new store has a basic black frontage design.
