A NUMBER of Wetherspoon pubs across the conurbation have been recognised for their sparkly clean toilets.
Winners have been announced for the Loo of the Year Awards 2022, seeing several pubs in the area praised for the cleanliness, accessibility and décor of their loos.
Inspectors made thousands of unannounced visits to pubs across the UK, before issuing grades of silver, gold, platinum, platinum plus or diamond to toilets, with unacceptable ones not graded at all.
The Mary Shelley in Bournemouth town centre, The Parkstone and Heatherlands in Winton and The Blackwater Stream in Broadstone have all been awarded a platinum rating for their high standard toilets.

The Mary Shelley manager, Peter Goatley, said: "We are delighted with the award. Staff at the pub ensure the toilets are in excellent condition at all times and it is great that this has been recognised by the inspectors."
The Moon in the Square, also in the Bournemouth town centre, and The Lord Wimborne and The Quay, both in Poole, were each awarded a gold rating.
Awards were also handed out elsewhere in the region, at the The Man in the Wall in Wimborne and The Nightjar in Victoria Road, Ferndown.
