A BAR in Bournemouth has applied for a licence to serve alcohol two years after it was stripped of it.
Xchange, in The Triangle, had its alcohol licence stripped back in March 2020 when a BCP Council licensing sub-committee ruled it had “no confidence” in the bar’s management.
Ratio Bars Limited has submitted an application for Xchange Bar to sell alcohol and play music from 9pm and 5am each day of the week.

The application includes a permit to play live and recorded music between the aforementioned hours, as well as dancing and alcohol sales.
In 2020 BCP Council revoked the bar’s licence after Dorset Police called a review after reports of drugs issues and concerns it was falling “far short” of expected standards.
The sub-committee said it had “no confidence” in the Xchange’s management and raised concerns the bar was “disregarding” the safety of its customers.
