A SPECIFIC date cannot be confirmed for the Wallisdown Road roadworks to finish because of the weather.
BCP Council say deciding a date when the cycle lane along the Poole road cannot be agreed yet because these things are “weather dependent.”
The finalisation of the cycle lane along the busy road linking Bournemouth and Poole has already been pushed back “a few more weeks” because of heavy rainfall.
When asked for a specific date when the road can fully reopen westbound, a BCP spokesman said: “These things are weather dependent so we’re unable to give a specific date.

“It was originally envisioned to be complete by the start of January, but a few more weeks are needed on top due to the recent weather conditions.
“We’ll be issuing updates to residents living in the area and aim to complete the works as soon as possible.”
Workmen will down their tools on December 22 for the Christmas break and work will resume on January 3.
Motorists have been left increasingly frustrated at the ‘improvements’ as traffic has built up eastbound and on the diversion route through Turbary Park Avenue.
Morebus have also reported “severe delays” in the area caused by the work.
