Flood alerts have been issued in parts of Dorset as the Environment Agency warns of large onshore waves.
Flood alerts have been issued for Christchurch Harbour, the west coast of Dorset and west Dorset rivers and streams.
The alert for Christchurch Harbour is for between 7pm and 9.30pm on Monday evening, and 7am and 10.15am on Tuesday.
"Areas most at risk include Christchurch Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Stour and Avon", it said.
"Weather conditions are expected to produce large onshore waves.
"The next high tide is expected to be higher than normal and may result in us issuing a further alert.
"Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences.
"Plan driving routes to coastal roads, which may be flooded.
"Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous."
An update is due at 12noon on Tuesday.
The alert for the west coast of Dorset said: Flooding is possible along the west coast of Dorset but, due to wave direction and height, particularly at the Chiswell end of Chesil Beach between 4:30am and 8:30am on 22/11/2022.
"Weather conditions are expected to produce large offshore waves. large waves may lead to spray carrying beach debris onto the causeway between Weymouth and Portland.
"Our incident response staff are checking flood gates and will be onsite carrying out a tide watch. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next 3 days and as a result we may issue further alerts/warnings."
