IN 1912 the East Anglia Hotel opened in the premises of the old West Hall Hydro.
The Poole Road hotel was family run for more than 40 years.
As well as 40 rooms and a four seasons restaurant, the hotel boasted comprehensive conference facilities.

Over the years, several renovations, revamps and extensions made the East Anglia a 72-room giant.
The East Anglia Hotel was closed in 2008, demolished and then replaced by retirement block Osbourne Lodge in 2011.
