Police have issued CCTV images of two people they want to speak to after the theft of a phone on a bus.
Between approximately 3.50pm and 4.50pm on Thursday October 13, a man was on the Number X6 bus from Ringwood to Ferndown when he was befriended by a man and a woman.
One of the suspects was sat next to the victim and removed his mobile phone while the victim was distracted.
Members of the public noticed what had happened and attempted to challenge the suspects, who ran from the bus when it stopped in Ferndown.
Police Community Support Investigator Lindy Wilson, of East Dorset police, said: “The suspects befriended the victim in order to obtain his property, which has had a significant financial impact.
“As part of my enquiries, I have obtained CCTV images of a man and woman I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises them to please come forward.
“Also, I would urge the members of the public who were on the bus and intervened to please contact Dorset Police as you may have important information to assist our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220167790.
