A MAN arrested on suspicion of rape has been released without charge and will face no further police action.
Dorset Police launched an investigation after receiving a report that a woman had been raped in Christchurch town centre in the early hours of Friday, October 21.
A 46-year-old man was arrested and released on bail as enquiries continued.
Providing an update on Monday, November 22, a Dorset Police spokesperson said the man had been released without charge and he will face no further police action.
The spokesman said detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and their investigation had concluded.
