A MAN has been jailed for several months and ordered not to enter a Dorset supermarket for two years.
Alexander Anthony Thorpe was in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on November 22 in relation to an incident at M&S in High Street, Christchurch.
Thorpe, aged 50 and of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to a single charge of with intent to cause a woman harassment, alarm or distress, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. The incident took place on May 13.
Thorpe was committed to prison for 12 weeks and ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.
He was also issued a two-year restraining order, which instructed him not to contact the victim and not to enter M&S in Christchurch for any reason including passing through it.
