A VEHICLE fire in Poole prompted "numerous" calls to the service on Monday afternoon, November 28.
The car fire in Clarence Road, Ashley Cross, was first reported to Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service at 4.38pm.
The vehicle was described as “well alight” when firefighters attended the incident.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Numerous calls reporting a vehicle fire on Clarence Road were received in the Service Control Centre and a crew from Poole Fire Station proceeded."
They added: "A small quantity of fuel entered a drain as a result of the incident and the Environment Agency was informed.
"The incident was brought under control just before 5pm but the crew remained in attendance damping down and ensuring scene safety for some time."
The fire was extinguished using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.
