SPLASHDOWN in Poole is now closed until February 2023 for a period of extended winter maintenance to undertake roof works.
The water park confirmed that Splashdown will be closed until February, just prior to half term. A spokesperson from Splashdown Poole said: “The closure is to complete substantial repair to the roof; the first half was done last winter, as you may recall. The works are contracted to Jade-Aden on behalf of Tower Park's landlords.”
Last winter the site was closed from November 1, 2021 to mid February, 2022.
At the time, a spokesperson from Splashdown Poole said: “We’re sorry but we are going to be closed for a substantial time over the winter of 2021/22 due to roof repairs that are being undertaken by our landlords at Tower Park.
“As many of you will know Splashdown opened in 1990 and the roof of the building is starting to show signs of age.
"Extensive renovation of the roof is a huge undertaking and will take through to the beginning of February before we can have the building back from contractors and get ready for February half-term.”
The site reopened again in February 2022 and has remained open until its second closure this winter.
