A NATIONAL retailer is opening its biggest store in the UK at Castlepoint this weekend.

Mountain Warehouse is moving to a new larger unit between New Look and Monsoon at the shopping centre.

At more than 12,000 square feet, Mountain Warehouse said the store becomes their largest in the country.

The shop, which opens on Saturday, December 3, features menswear, womenswear, kids wear, footwear and equipment spread across two floors.

The opening of the new unit has created 14 jobs.

Mark Neale, founder of Mountain Warehouse, said: “We have been trading at Castlepoint for over 13 years.

“This has been one of our best shops, and we’ve made lots of friends and welcomed loyal customers over the years in Bournemouth. So, we’re thrilled to be moving to a new, bigger, flagship store this December.

“We’re looking forward to showcasing more of our range with the community, including coastal lifestyle brand Animal, and Jackson Pet Co for our local four-legged friends."

David Pickett, Castlepoint centre manager, said: “We are excited to see Mountain Warehouse upsize at Castlepoint with their wide array of products catering for all the family.

“To have the largest store in the country at Castlepoint is really encouraging for the local community who will now be able to shop more options in their local store.”
