RESIDENTS have been left baffled by an orange glow in the skies over Bournemouth at night.
People have contacted the Echo over the mysterious orange hue in the night sky with some joking aliens may be invading Bournemouth.
One person told the Daily Echo: “Mystery to orange/yellow glow over Muscliff/Throop over last few nights. Photo below taken at 2am.”
“Not sure what it is.”
They said it appeared “odd” as it was in one area and the rest of the sky remained dark.

One person tweeted the Echo on Saturday night asking: “What’s the orange glow in the sky over Bournemouth tonight? Any ideas Bournemouth Echo”

A number of people subsequently tweeted photos of the mystery light that could be seen from their homes.

One person added: “We assumed it was coming from the football stadium.”
Another person said: “I was going to blame the Christmas Wonderland.”
Others have reported seeing the lights in areas such as Charminster, Northbourne, Fairmile, Southbourne and Castlepoint.

So is the truth out there?
The conundrum may have been solved by another person who said: “Yep it’s coming from the stadium.
"There’s white sheets covering the pitch so probably reflecting off the artificial daylight lamps.”
The Daily Echo has contacted AFC Bournemouth for a comment.
