A PUB in Poole has been forced to close and will remain shut until a new tenant is found after the one who was due to move in pulled out at the last minute.
The Rope & Anchor, in Sarum Street, was due to reopen its doors at midday on Saturday, December 3 under new management.
However, the pub’s new tenants pulled out due to “personal circumstances”, it has been confirmed.
A new business partner is now being sought for the pub, which remains closed.

A spokeswoman for Wadworth, the company which owns the pub, told the Echo: “The Rope & Anchor was due to reopen on December 3 but unfortunately the tenants have pulled out due to personal circumstances.
“The pub is now therefore closed until further notice and we are back on the search for a fantastic new Business Partner to take on the pub.”
In a post on Facebook on December 2, a spokesperson for the pub said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances there is a delay in opening - we will keep you posted with any news, as it stands we will not be open until further notice. Apologies.”
