A POPULAR carol event is set to return this festive season.
Carols in the Cornmarket is due to take place at Wimborne Minster from 6pm on Friday, December 23.
Singing of the carols will be accompanied by members of the Broadstone Community Concert Band and choristers from Wimborne Minster.
A collection will be taken for the Mayor of Wimborne's charities Dial-a-Ride, Walford Mill Education Trust and the UK Wild Otter Trust.
It is due to be the 16th year that the event has been organised by Hilda Butler and Anthony Oliver. It takes place in the Cornmarket located just off the high street.
Anthony said: "We are grateful to the Wimborne BID, Wimborne Minster Town Council and Optique 2000 for their sponsorship of the event and to Radio Wimborne for providing the public address."
