Christmas is just a couple of weeks away now, and for many in Bournemouth that will signify a time to go out and enjoy a festive panto at a local theatre.
As well as the seasonal pantomimes there will also be a whole load of Christmas-related shows on stage to enjoy.
Usually timing with when children will be finishing up at school for the holidays, there are plenty of options within Bournemouth as well as a little further afield in Dorset.
From the BIC to the Mowlem Theatre in Swanage, here are your options for Christmas shows on stage for December 2022.
Bournemouth Pavilion
The Bournemouth Pavilion will be hosting a Beauty and the Beast pantomime in December.
On the Bournemouth Pavilion website, it says: "With a cast of larger than life characters, side-splitting comedy, sumptuous costumes, fabulous scenery and a thrilling transformation scene, this traditional family pantomime, written by Jon Monie, won Best Script at the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019, and has garnered 5-star reviews and broken box office records."
There are performances being held up until Monday, January 2 and can be booked at the website here.
Bournemouth International Theatre
If you're looking for a Christmas show that is not specifically for the kids then the 'That’ll Be The Day: Christmas Show' at the BIC might be for you.
On the BIC website, it says: "Completely refreshed year after year, the show combines all of your favourite pop Christmas classics and traditional Christmas songs with hilarious comedy sketches and world-class impersonations."
The show will be taking place on Sunday, December 18 starting at 7pm with tickets being available at the website here.
Lighthouse Theatre, Poole
The Lighthouse Theatre will have a number of Christmas shows this month, including their pantomime version of Cinderella.
Tyger Drew-Honey and Chris Jarvis will be among the actors performing in the show for this "fast-paced, fabulous fairy tale of a ride".
There will be performances up until Saturday, December 31 which can be booked at the website here.
Another stage show for the kids will be The Jolly Christmas Postman which will be running until Saturday, December 24.
On the Lighthouse Theatre website, it says: "Join the Jolly Christmas Postman on his final delivery of the year as he visits well-loved characters such as Miss Riding Hood, Humpty Dumpty, and many others, with a gift for all this Christmas time."

Regent Centre, Christchurch
The Regent Centre will see the return of its Christmas Spectacular show to its stage in December.
Brought to life by the Glad Rag Production Company, the show is set at the North Pole at Santa’s Magic Toy Workshop.
On the Regent Centre website, it says: "Our story follows Santa and his elves busily preparing for another festive season but sabotage is afoot and a nasty frost is spreading throughout Christmastown.
"Will the elves work out who is plotting to ruin Christmas? Or will the frightening frost succeed in freezing Christmas forever?"
There are performances each day from Saturday, December 17 to Saturday, December 24 which can be booked at the Regent Centre website here.
Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne
The Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne will see Made-to-Measure Productions return with another pantomime, as they bring their version of Aladdin to the stage.
Performances will be running until Sunday, January 1 and tickets can be bought on the website here.

Black Cherry Theatre, Boscombe
The Black Cherry Theatre will be running performances of Jack and the Beanstalk on Saturday, December 17 at 12pm and 3pm.

Mowlem Theatre, Swanage
The Mowlem will be running the Santa Saves Christmas show on Friday, December 23.
On the website, it says: "Join Jack, Dasher the Reindeer and Pompom the Penguin for this festive, musical, interactive adventure, as they meet Father Christmas at his home in the North Pole and help Santa Save Christmas!"
The show is suitable for children aged between two and seven, with tickets able to be booked from the website here.
