A NEW and improved refreshment cabin has been unveiled on Avon Beach.
The Coffee Cabin was re-opened on Monday morning, seeing customers return to enjoy its popular seafront snacks and beverages.
The cabin had been closed in recent months as it underwent a complete rebuild.
The new building is said to be ‘more aesthetically pleasing’ and ‘much better for staff’.
A spokesperson for the Coffee Cabin said: “It has been wonderful to see many of our regulars enjoying the new Coffee Cabin as well as new customers who perhaps haven’t visited us before.
“The general reactions from our customers and on our social media is positive, with people appreciating the new structure and how it fits in with Avon Beach, as well as being much better for our staff.”
BCP Council approved an application for the cabin’s rebuild in July after the previous building was flagged as being “in a state of disrepair”.
In the proposal, owners Avon Beach Limited said they wanted the new cabin to be more aesthetically pleasing and marginally bigger, whilst achieving better pedestrian flows on the promenade.

A spokesperson for the Coffee Cabin said: “The new Coffee Cabin is a great replacement for the old hut which was falling apart and needed rebuilding.
"It is a better working environment for our staff and much warmer for them in these cold days. We also feel it is more aesthetically pleasing and fits in with the beach well.”
The decking has also been removed from the front of the cabin in an attempt to achieve better pedestrian flow on the seafront.
The promenade surrounding the Coffee Cabin is said to “feel wider”, something that the owners suggest will be beneficial in the busy summer season.
With the new build has come new food options on the menu, including macaroni cheese, soup, and sourdough toasted wraps.
The Coffee Cabin said their prices have stayed the same, and they have “plenty of choice” for all guests.
