A ROAD north of Wimborne has been closed after it was flooded.
The B3078 Cranborne Road, just north of Honeybrook Farm, has closed due to the road being flooded.
Police say lorries and larger vehicles can pass through and that Dorset Highways are en-route to clean the gulley.
Dorset Traffic Cops are in attendance after reports of a person trapped in a car.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene following a report of a person trapped in the vehicle, but was rescued by a member of the public, prior to emergency service arrival.
A spokesman for Dorset Traffic Cops said: “B3078 Cranborne Road closed just north of Honeybrook Farm due to the road being flooded.
“Vehicles that are higher in construction can still pass. Dorset Highways are en-route to try and clean the gulley.
“Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene following a report of a person trapped in the vehicle, but was rescued by a member of the public, prior to emergency service arrival.”
