POLICE in the New Forest have issued a warning to anyone who owns a Fiat 500.
Officers have urged owners of the small car to be vigilant after a series of thefts.
Lymington and New Milton Cops reported that there had been three Fiat 500s stolen overnight across the New Forest between December 11 and December 23.
Two of the vehicles have been recovered, but one is still missing.
A spokesperson for Lymington and New Milton Cops said: “If you own one of these cars please consider how it is stored overnight.
“If you have the ability to store it in a garage overnight that would be ideal. If this isn't an option, think about how you place your vehicle on the drive, can you block the Fiat in with another vehicle? “Do you have a steering lock, can you make it harder for your vehicle to be a target?
“Officers are aware of the thefts and are patrolling, but please do whatever you can to remove your vehicle from sight or to make your less appealing to the thief.“
