A MAN was stabbed at an address in Poole on Sunday night.

The man in his 20s was treated by the ambulance service for a stab wound to his hand.

Police were called to an address in Turlin Road just before 10.45pm.

A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

It was also reported a woman sustained an injury to her hand in a separate incident.

Police said she also received medical treatment.

All of the people involved are believed to be known to each other.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 10.43pm on Sunday 1 January 2023 that a man had sustained a suspected stab wound to his hand at an address in Turlin Road in Poole.

“Officers attended and the injured man, aged in his 20s, was treated by the ambulance service.

“Following enquiries, a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

“It was further reported that a woman had sustained an injury to her hand in a separate incident and she also received medical treatment.

“All of the individuals involved are believed to be known to each other.

“Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing.”
