A MAN has been released on police bail after he was arrested following a stabbing in Poole during the weekend.
It is alleged a man, aged in his 20s, was stabbed by a 43-year-old man at an address in Turlin Road, Poole on the evening of Sunday, January 1.
The victim received a stab wound to his hand and was treated by the ambulance service.
The 43-year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, has been released on police bail as an investigation continues.
It was further reported that a woman had sustained an injury to her hand in a separate incident and she also received medical treatment.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 10.43pm on Sunday 1 January 2023 that a man had sustained a suspected stab wound to his hand at an address in Turlin Road in Poole.

“Officers attended and the injured man, aged in his 20s, was treated by the ambulance service.
“Following enquiries, a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
“It was further reported that a woman had sustained an injury to her hand in a separate incident and she also received medical treatment.
“All of the individuals involved are believed to be known to each other. Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing.”
