A MAN has died following an industrial incident in Verwood.
Emergency services were called shortly before 9am on Tuesday, January 3, and attended the scene in Coopers Lane.
The man, who was aged in his 30s, died at the scene.
A police cordon is currently in place to allow an investigation to be carried out.
Dorset Police said a man has been arrested in relation to the incident.
A force spokesperson said: “At 8.57am on Tuesday, January 3, Dorset Police received a report of an industrial incident in Coopers Lane in Verwood.
“Officers together with the ambulance and fire services attended. Sadly, a man in his 30s died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been made aware.
“There is currently a cordon in place to enable an investigation of the scene.
“A man has been arrested in relation to the incident.”
A Health and Safety Executive spokesperson said: “HSE is aware of this incident and making initial enquiries.”
