A JURY has been shown footage of the movements of a man accused of murdering a Bournemouth DJ.
Lawangeen Abdulrahimzai, 21, is on trial at Salisbury Crown Court charged with the murder of 21-year-old Tom Roberts.
The court has heard that Mr Roberts stepped in-between his friend and Abdulrahimzai, who had got into a row over an e-scooter outside Subway in Old Christchurch Road.
Prosecutors say that when the defendant was “aggressive” towards Mr Roberts in the early hours of March 12 last year, the complainant struck him in the face with an “open-palm slap”.
The defendant then stabbed Mr Roberts twice with a knife before running off from the scene, the jury has been told.
The prosecution showed the jury a video presentation which contained Abdulrahimzai’s whereabouts from the afternoon of March 11 up until his arrest on March 13.
The footage started with the defendant leaving his address in Hill Street, Poole, to get a bus to Bournemouth where he met up with other males.
He proceeded to spend the evening of March 11 in and around the town centre before getting on a bus to the Castle Lane area, the presentation showed.
Abdulrahimzai returned to Bournemouth town centre in the early hours on March 12 in the area of Fir Vale Road.
He went into London Market in Old Christchurch Road to buy a drink and a chocolate bar, while video from outside Camel showed the defendant riding on an e-scooter a short time before the stabbing.
The presentation included CCTV which showed Mr Roberts and his friend James Medway walking up to Subway, the incident itself and Abdulrahimzai running off into Horseshoe Common.
Abdulrahimzai is next seen a couple of hours later walking in Wimborne Road, Winton, before being seen again on foot at Cemetery Junction.
The jury saw that he ended up in Bournemouth town centre, took a bus to Poole and returned home after stopping off at a convenience store.
The court has heard that Abdulrahimzai’s phone was found in Horseshoe Common on March 12.
Officers attended his address and he was arrested, with body-worn camera footage of this police activity played to the jury.
Abdulrahimzai denies murder. He has admitted manslaughter. The trial continues.
