TRAINS are experiencing major disruption in Dorset and the New Forest due to flooding on the railway.
Multiple services have already been cancelled this morning with problems expedcted to continue into the afternoon.
South Western Railway has reported that there have been track circuit failures and all lines are blocked at Sway.
A spokesperson for the operator: “We have been informed of flooding on the railway at Sway causing track circuit failures. Trains are currently unable to run through this area.
“For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
South Western Railway said disruption is expected until at least 2pm on January 14.
As reported, there were already issues on the railway in Dorset this morning after a fallen tree at Moreton blocked the lines. Engineers moved the tree at around 9am.
